It's been a while since I've posted; seems like there's always something to do.
We celebrated the beginning of 2012 at a New Year's Eve party at the resort's clubhouse. There was dinner, a DJ, and dancing. Then, at 12:01, we turned into 'pumpkins' and went home to bed.
Tony and Donna Bogdahn, more friends from Maine, arrived the first week in January. Our truck has been very convenient since it holds 6 adults very comfortably and we can all travel around together.
On the 7th, the six of us went on our first ATV ride together. It was the first time that I rode on the back of ours with Keith driving. The scenery was amazing, from the top of the mountains with awesome views to the valley's green flora. If you look at the center of this photo, you can see the trail winding down toward the valley.  |

And, I saw my first 'open range' cow. We rode past him and even stopped to take pictures, and he seemed totally unfazed.
We continue to join the hiking group on Fridays. The hike leaders are very knowledgeable about the area and offer interesting information on the local history.
